Mountain Bike Volunteer Information
Coach With Us!
We are always seeking volunteer mountain bike coaches for our Recreational MTB Program. If you are passionate about mountain biking and have the desire to lead the next generation of mountain bikers on weekly rides or would like to ride along with your child’s group (or another group) as a parent volunteer tail-gunner, we’d love to have you on board.
Benefits of registering as a volunteer coach:

You may qualify for First Aid or PMBIA training
Honorarium for junior coaches

Bike Volunteer Requirements
All volunteers with XCBC’s Mountain Bike Programming must complete the following requirements and submit their documents to the Club before the Session begins.
XCBC Membership
All volunteers must be XCBC Members in good standing for insurance purposes.
Standard First Aid (CPR-C)
Required for group leaders, recommended for all other volunteers.
XCBC makes an effort to offer a Free First Aid/CPR Training seasonally. More information for the upcoming season will be available soon.
Creating a culture where everyone can thrive is a shared responsibility. Safe Sport Training provides the knowledge and skills to create healthy and safe sport environments.
Safe Sport Training is FREE, ONLINE & ONLY TAKES 90 mins.
NCCP Cycling Foundations
Required for group leaders, recommended for all other volunteers.
Cycling Foundations is an ELearning Course. It is the first block of NCCP’s “Lets Ride - Community Initiation” Coach trainings. Course Cost $15 (to be reimbursed by XCBC)
Safe Sport Training
Required for group leaders, recommended for all other volunteers.
Concussions can occur while participating in any sport or recreational activity. It’s important for all coaches, parents, and participants to understand the signs, symptoms, and what to do if a suspected concussion occurs.
Safe Sport’s Concussion Training is Free, Online & Takes 75-90 mins
Additional Training
XCBC will reimburse costs for the trainings listed below:
PMBIA Level 1 Certification (50% reimbursement for the first year commitment, remaining 50% to be reimbursed with second year commitment)
